Well as most people would know Shane and I have been homeschooling our girls for over 2 years while we've been travelling and living around Australia.

So we found a school we thought and hoped would be great, and in term 2 both girls started school.
Elissa started year 8 and Serena started grade 6 of term 2 this year.
High school started 1 day before primary school and Elissa enjoyed it from the word GO! Serena's first day included swimming lessons and her very second day she was off to camp for 2 nights, Serena absolutely loved it.
The school we chose is both primary and secondary in one school, side by side, so it works out fantastic for us and the girls.
Both girls are doing good and have enjoyed different challenges regarding school and school work.
Both girls have made friends and are part of a school that is very multicultural, just like the rest of Perth is, it's great!
Serena's fav subjects are music (she is learning how to play the ukulele), drama, art, English, and sport.
Elissa's fav subjects are woodwork's, English, PE, Christian education, and French.
We love that every staff member at this school is a church going Christian. We love that they have devotional time and worship time at assembly and Christian studies.
We love that their is free tutoring for all high school students after school. We love the communication between staff and parents. We are informed about everything. From what homework children have, to informing us that our children arrived safely to camp...the communication is FANTASTIC!
At this school our girls have so many options it's wonderful...the girls can be involved in many extra curricular activities, it really is GREAT!
Guess What!!! The girls school is a couple minutes up the road from the beach, WAAHOOOOO!! |
I hope everyone is well and enjoying life.
Take Care,
Love Dimi and Shane xo
Life is pretty GOOD xo |
