Where's the Water?..

Well there was water, but no falling water, haha! However, it was still pretty, and we still enjoyed our picnic lunch of Chicken and lettuce sandwiches and other yummy snacks.
I do love this pic though, the reflection of the rock on the still water looks beautiful i reckon!

This Goanna was baking in the sun until it spotted us and then quickly decided to take a dip in the water.

No Falling Water but Still Pretty Rocks...

The Goanna was hiding from us and went for a Swim...

Cute Shane..I was having a closer look at the tiny birds flying around the rocks...

Back on the dirt road again for the drive home!

Fountain Springs Falls...

I LOVE the Burnt Orange Outback...Look at the colour..Beautiful!

We went on one of our Saturday adventure days, but we went on Anzac Day, Hahaha, since we had the day off from work. We decided to drive to Fountain springs because there was meant to be a waterfall there!

The turn off to fountain springs falls is about half way between Cloncurry and Mt. Isa (about a 45 minute drive), and once you take the turn off to Fountain Springs, it's another about 30 minute drive on a dirt road to Fountain Springs falls. The drive is quite dusty as you can imagine, but otherwise it's a smooth road. 
The scenery is the typical outback scenery that we've all grown to love, the burnt orange sandy roads, some green and gold hills, blue sky, it really is Beautiful, dry and Beautiful!

We drove on some corrugated parts of the dirt road, but after that it wasn't too bad at all!

It was a Good mostly smooth drive.. I'm not at all into crazy 4WDing, so Thank God it was nothing like that, not too much anyway. There were some corrugated parts in the dirt road, but once we were past those, it was pretty good!

Finally made it..Now for the very short walk to the Falls...

So that was the Beautiful scenic drive to Fountain Spring Falls. More photos of the actual falls to come... 

Birthday Celebrations...

So we celebrated my birthday over the weekend! 

We worked till mid afternoon and then the FUN and Yummy food began...

The girls tidied up our home and decorated it and helped Shane make one of my favourite sweets...Pancakes which we enjoyed for our late lunch, it was delicious 😋

We then went out for dinner to the local wagon wheel hotel. The yummiest part was when we returned home, we made our own delicious dessert with the yummy chocolate brownie cake the girls made with Shane for me.
