Murramarang National Park...

We went to the BEAUTIFUL Murramarang National Park... We walked along the Durras Discovery Trail, the walk through this forest took us about 1 1/2 hours to complete! We walked on a trail beside Lake Durra, and surrounded by spotted gum trees, ferns, vines and many birds. This National Park was part of our school comes to life day. On this trail there are interesting fact boards about the forest, the trees and logging in the area. The Durras discovery trail also has gates you walk through, platforms you walk along, and a viewing platform with a very interesting story about the history of the forest and logging. We really had an enjoyable day there, we also had a couple of dramatic incidents that I will share shortly...Have a look at our special photos...

We made it...Just...It was a GREAT day at Murramarang National Park, We just had an incident or two...Towards the end of the trail I felt a stinging/biting pain on my ankle and checked it. I seen a blood sucking leech sucking on my blood, ARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH! Shane got the sucker off me, the girls and I never recovered from the fright it gave us, and we spent the rest of the walk speed walking and checking ourselves for more leeches all the way to the end of the trail, Hahahaa!
Then we were driving to Batemans Bay when from the back seat Elissa was histerically screaming, Shane couldn't pull over straight away so he couldn't help... I turned around and seen another blood sucking leech trying to bite through her leggings, ARGGGGGHHHHHH! I got it off her, Shane finally pulled over and we were on the side of the road checking ourselves for more leeches, more ARRGGHHHH! YUK!
We are still recovering from our leech incident, however it was still a GREAT day at this Lovely National Park.

Take Care, and Pray we don't have anymore incidents like, or similar to this one :-)
