Travelling with Children...

I've been asked many times over how are the girls going and what is the travelling life like for kiddies? How are they coping with their new life? How are they coping without their school friends? How are they coping without their own bedrooms and living in a small space? How are they coping with the set up and pack up every week or so? How are they coping with being around each other 24 hours a day? How are they coping living on camp food? How are they coping?
Well.....Take a look at how our gorgeous girls are coping :-)

Our camp food is really good, Hahaha....We pretty much eat most things we ate when we lived in a house, yummy BBQ, stir fry, chicken and tuna salads, pasta and meatballs, meat and veg, roast meats, pancakes and lots of yummy goodness!

Our  girls love reading in their own quiet time.

Swimming and FUN in the SUN is always a favourite activity for the Girls.

The Girls are doing very well with our homeschooling schedule, they are actually thriving in it, and we are enjoying being their teachers.

Fishing is another activity they both enjoy doing.

The girls enjoy exploring the different areas we visit, we've checked out a maritime museum, a cheese factory, many beaches, enjoyed rock climbing, sight seeing, dolphin/seal/koala/kangaroo spotting, and we've also been on a few different tours.

Scooters and bikes are a big part of their week. We are so glad we brought  the bikes and scooters along on our trip.

Bonding time with us is also wonderful...Fishing fun with dad and watching the sunrise with Mum.

Open fires and toasting marshmallows is a favourite with the girls.

National parks are always great for learning and exploring.
Climbing trees is a fun activity too.

Setting up our site is always a team effort and the girls know exactly what to do and how to do it.

The girls enjoy some quiet time too.

There is always walks, walks and more walks...Beach walks, national parks walks, lots of walks.

The girls also love to do chores...cooking, dishes, washing and folding clothes, lots of chores.

They also enjoy walking through markets because chances are they get to by a small sweet treat.

I'm EXTREMELY proud of how our girls have handled themselves from the very beginning to now. They have handled every challenge that we've thrown at them very well, they truly amaze me. I would say that they haven't coped, instead they have thrived in this travelling life of ours, they truly have thrived. They have become far more social than they have ever been before, met so many people and children and made many friends along the way, there schooling has improved due to the one on one time, they love to explore and learn more about their environment and all the different areas we see and visit, they have become far more independent and enjoy trying lots of new things. We are more often out and about exploring national parks, beaches, parks, and if we are home for the day, our girls are almost always outside exploring our surroundings, playing games, cardboard box tobogganing, riding bikes and scooters, making friends, walking our doggy and many other fun things. Their life now is a huge adventure and they are embracing it and thriving in it and I am just sooooooo very proud of them.

If you are thinking of travelling long term with your children and you are concerned about how your kiddies will cope, don't worry yourself...they won't cope, they will THRIVE!
