The Outer Reef...The Great Barrier Reef...Reef Magic Cruises...

We decided to go on a Great Barrier Reef tour and aren't we glad we did! What a great experience to have together :-)
Have a look at our day tour to the beautiful outer reef with Reef Magic Cruises...
Reef Magic Cruises Cairns...
Ready for some FUN Exploring the Great Barrier Reef :-)
We arrived early in the morning to the wharf to go on board the Reef Magic boat for our day tour. On board the boat there were 3 levels to sit and enjoy the views...you could sit inside the cabin or outside on the deck. Inside the cabin the staff first demonstrated the safety procedures, and then we could choose to watch an information session about the reef and sea life, or we could walk around the boat and go outside on the deck and enjoy the views.
The views from the deck were beautiful, the 1 1/2 hour boat ride was quite choppy and a couple of us felt quite queasy, so some of us spent most of the ride to the reef and back outside on the back lower deck watching the horizon (this helps when you're feeling motion sickness).

About 1 1/2 hours later we made it to the Beautiful Outer Reef. After some quick morning tea for those that wanted it (morning tea was provided), we were given our wet suits, flippers, and snorkel gear (all part of the cruise package), we had a quick lesson on how to use the snorkels and off we went to explore the beautiful outer reef!
We had some FUN snorkeling and exploring the Great Barrier Reef...

We all really enjoyed snorkeling and Exploring the outer reef! Part of the cruise included a boat ride in a semi submerged glass walled boat to experience the reef from a different view..Serena and Shane went on the boat, Elissa and myself didn't want to leave the water so we continued to snorkel and explore.

Lunch was provided, so we had a small break from the water, chatted about all the things we had seen while we enjoyed many different foods on offer for lunch, Yum
I'm so very glad we were able to enjoy the Outer Reef experience with our girls! We all really enjoyed the experience together!
What an Amazing experience we had at The Great Barrier Reef. We even got interviewed for a documentary on ABC TV, which was particularly exciting for the girls! The day was very informative so we learned quite a bit about the great barrier reef, and about coral and sea life which was great.
We had a wonderful, long, informative, fun experience, we feel Blessed!

Hope everyone has a great weekend xo
Take Care,
Dimi
