An Update On Us...

Shane's last day working st Oasis Caravan Park...
Our Girls helping Shane...
We've had a good, at times hard and crazy month or so! It's still peak season up North with all the grey nomads and quite a few families travelling North for the warmer weather.
The girls have their local friends that they catch up with at least a few times every week, however, it has been great for them during this peak season to make many new travelling friends. In particular the girls made friends with a boy and girl around their age, and Shane and I chatted with their parents. The next day we were heading to Mount Isa for my hospital appointment, and this family were heading there also, so we arranged to catch up for lunch together. This family were a Christian family and we had a lot to talk about and encourage each other with while our children hung out together. We chatted for ages, we really just clicked and neither of us wanted to part from each others company. We lingered for as long as possible before we had to leave to go to my hospital appointment, and before we left we encouraged each other and prayed together, it was a special time together...I'm pretty sure God brought us together for those couple of days, it really felt as though we had known each other for  a long time...it's great when you just naturally click with people!

The other week we went to the small gem festival, we had a lovely day. The girls hung out with their friends and Shane an I chatted with the locals. Shane bought me a GORGEOUS chrysocolla pendant, I adore it. It's from a man who goes to our church here in Cloncurry. This man goes fossicking in and around Cloncurry and turns the gems he finds into beautiful, original jewelry, I love that!
Upon leaving the gem festival Elissa was just about to walk down the hill to buy one final thing, as she did her soccer ball was about to roll down it, she reached out with her foot to stop the ball and she somehow twisted and sprained her ankle, Oh No...off to the hospital...my poor darling was in quite a bit of pain! After about 1 week or so on crutches, Elissa's ankle seems perfectly fine, YAY! Thank God!
Shane the Pro Basketballer, Hahaha!
My last appointment at Mount Isa last week we found that our vehicle was leaking a whole lot of diesel. We took it to the mechanic and they advised us not to drive it the 1 1/2 hours to Cloncurry without having it fixed first, Boo Hoo! RACQ was called, the vehicle cost us another $900, ARGGHHHH! Thankfully all went well with our full cover RACQ and they paid for us to spend the night in a motel in Mount Isa and a hire car for the time our vehicle is at the mechanics. What do you do!
Basketball FUN with Dad...
The girls have been spending quite a lot of time with their friends, it's been good to get know their friends parents. We caught up with their friends parents the other evening who have a 5 acre property here in Cloncurry, it was great to catch up with them. We are looking forward to catching up with them for camp oven cooked damper and stew...We have been so blessed to get to know people here in our outback home.
Mr. Spunk!
As I type I'm still unwell and now have an issue with my foot (who knows! More about that in a future post), My beauty Elissa has a bit of a gastro bug, My gorgeous Serena has a bit of a cold and Shane is on his way to Mount Isa to swap the hire car for our vehicle, and tonight is our final night at the Oasis caravan park. Shane finished up work about 1 week ago and even though we would like to head off soonish, we still have some loose ends to tie up (and it's a little sad to say goodbye to our outback home). So we are staying in Cloncurry for the moment, just moving our caravan elsewhere. Shane still has his morning job here and has had to job offers, so we have a bit to think about!

Gee, sometimes I feel that we may as well stay here for another season, sometimes it feels as though something keeps keeping us here- It's something to think about!

The girls are well, they love their friends here. They are doing well with their homeschooling and they are growing up quickly, we are so PROUD of them xo
Homeschooling Fun...
Our Faith Led Journey has taken us on such an adventure with MANY twists and turns, bumps and smooth roads, I wouldn't swap it for anything. The ups and the downs, both good times and hard times, they have changed us, shaped us and grown us. Sometimes I've cried, most times I laugh and usually we try to just enjoy the moment, the very simple things in everyday life, and cross every bridge as we get to it.
Zoey loves life!
