GREAT People...BEAUTIFUL Blessings...

There are Sooooo many GREAT people around and we have been so VERY blessed lately, we seem to be encountering them at every corner and I THANK GOD for that!

On Thursday, shane and our girls were booked into the VERY BEST hair salon in Sunbury and possibly even Victoria, maybe even Australia (Hairhouse warehouse in Sunbury Square). We all turned up to the hair appointments and the lovely hairdresser as always did a FANTASTIC job with shane's hair and our girls hair...Check out the pics of the girls...

The girls got haircuts, and the lovely ladies also braid and glitterize their hair for them. I love how they go above and beyond at hair house warehouse in Sunbury. They really have some very talented and friendly hairdressers!

After chatting to the owner for a little while about our journey (I often have a bit of a chat with the ladies at the salon) she VERY kindly gifted our girls with a hair straightener each :-0 Oh MY GOSH, we were in SHOCK! I truly thought she was just joking when she offered the straighteners to our girls.
After we thanked her, we then moved on to pay for our haircuts and she told us not to worry about paying...WHAT!! I didn't know what to say, We were SHOCKED yet again!
We would never expect that to happen! We couldn't believe it, what a beautiful act of kindness, so EXTREMELY generous.

Thank You God for GREAT and BEAUTIFUL people who seem to be all around us..
Thank You Hairhouse Warehouse in Sunbury, your kindness warmed all our hearts and it is GREATLY appreciated xo

 Thank You and Take Care,
Dimi, Shane, Elissa, Serena xo

Introducing The BEAST...and GREAT people...

The BEAST...

Me in my HUGE Cool glasses driving my HUGE Cool BEAST..Hahaha....
We FINALLY picked up the 4WD last night after a dramatic night (more about that drama soon).
Firstly I have to share that I absolutely LOVE driving the BEAST, LOVE IT! I never knew I would enjoy driving a huge 4WD this much. Shane and I fight over the keys, racing to see who gets in it first to drive it, Haha. Luckily we are going to be driving a lot in the very near future.
All appears to be good so far with the 4WD. I'm covering it with prayer and praying its a great solid vehicle that causes us no dramas, just safe and powerful driving.

So late afternoon yesterday, we picked the girls up from school and we were driving to Moorabbin to pick up our Beast. I was in my sedan with the girls and I was following Shane in his Ute (we traded in both our vehicles), we were on kings way exit when Shane's Ute was slowing down in heavy traffic and he had to pull over to the side of the freeway. I then pulled to the side behind him...He called me on the mobile to tell me his Ute had broken down on the freeway, FAR OUT :-0
It was very scary, cars kept beeping us and zooming past us, at times I thought they were going to just about ram into us.
Shane called RACV, but they couldn't help. It was up to city link to help us out of this dangerous situation.
While we waited, I drove my sedan in front of Shane's Ute just in case someone rammed into us. It would be better that the empty Ute tray got a hit and not my car with my Girls in it.

We prayed and stressed and prayed and finally a city link man came and rescued us out of this scary and stressful situation, Yay! Once we were in a safe area we had to wait another hour or so for a tow truck to pick us up, ARGGHHHH!

As you can imagine, once we finally picked up the 4WD we were all exhausted from our stressful and tiring evening and we all just wanted to get back to our home (our caravan) to shower and sleep!

We stopped at a petrol station on the way home, the girls, even though they were tired were in the back seat giggling, dancing and singing when a man pulled over on the side of us to get some petrol too. We greeted each other and he made a comment about the girls being very giggly

The girls continued to be their joyful selves while Shane put petrol in the car and I read the 4WD manual. This same man handed the girls a CD through our open car window. The CD was of himself and his wife playing the didgeridoo, playing the violin and singing. We were shocked! He and another younger man had just left from a huge performance they had performed in for the RMIT graduation. This man heard the girls giggles and wanted to give them a CD.
He then asked if we had ever heard a real life didgeridoo being played, we replied no! This man went to his vehicle, got his didgeridoo, opened our back door and played the beautiful didgeridoo to us, it was soooooo VERY beautiful and special and we couldn't believe what was happening, it seemed so random.
We chatted with the man for a bit and then parted ways.

I'm telling you, after the hard night we all had God sent us a beautiful blessing. This mans random act of kindness was a complete blessing from God and it really lifted all our moods. We listened to this beautiful CD all the way home...and guess what? its all Australian/Aboriginal type music, perfectly suited for our travels :-)
Thank You God that there are so many GREAT people around...Thank You GOD for blessing us.

We are feeling VERY blessed by this experience. After a tough night, came a very kind blessing and it feels really good to know that God has us in His hands!

I have more blessings to share soon...

Take Care and Goodnight,
Dimi xoxox

Macedon...

We are staying in Macedon this week while we wait to pick up our 4WD and tie up some more loose ends!
So far our Gorgeous Girls have adjusted very quickly and so very well to being away from our previous house, being without Zoey and living in a caravan, I am so proud of them. Elissa and Serena are both so very brave and so very strong, they are embracing these changes and challenges and are doing so very well so far.

Shane is doing just fine, he is learning how to set up and organise our caravan and annexe, Go Shane!

Myself on the other hand, I'm still emotional about what I've left behind (Zoey, our community, our previous Home) and I'm having to adjust to a completely different environment...I'm feeling like a fish out of water at the moment (I think that's the saying, Haha), but Its only day 2 and I know that I just need time to adjust to this new lifestyle!

Macedon is quite beautiful and my girls have embraced it so well. We are staying in a very simple/basic park, yet the girls are loving it...I'll share some pics of us and where we are staying...
Can you spot the Kangaroo in this pic? It really is there...
So far the girls have loved hearing the loud kookaburras throughout the day, they've fed the cute ponies, spotted a kangaroo jumping in between the caravans, seen many cows, ducks, birds and bugs.
On a less positive note, Serena got a hit in the head by the Frisbee that daddy threw at her (don't worry she got him back in the arm), and Elissa experienced getting a shock from an electric fence, not nice at all, but both were accidents and everyone is just fine.
Anyway, life is very different and crazy at the moment, but we will all adjust soon enough I know it!

Thank You God for reminding me "that all things work together for the good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose."

I'm off to my cosy bed now..Take Care and Goodnight,
Dimi xoxox

1 More Night...

Yep, only one more night left at.....

and later on tonight this beautiful fur girl moves into her foster families house while we are away.....
We are feeling Very Excited, Sad, Joyful, Nervous, Anxious, so basically a lot of mixed emotions. There will be tears when we leave our home and our Zoey and our beautiful community, but also plenty of Joy for what lies ahead. Joy and Happiness for quality family time, beach fun, traveling around this BEAUTIFUL country and relaxation time. There will be a HUGE amount of Joy and Happiness in being led by God.

This verse comes to mind, Part of Psalms 30:5
...Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
Love it, Thank You God :-)
So we will enjoy our last night here as much as we can, we will cry and hug each other and also joyfully anticipate the road ahead. It is a new chapter in our lives and it is sooooo very exciting to leave it to God to write.

Love this Spunky Man.....
Love these Beautiful Girls.....
I'm so glad I'm blessed to enjoy this life with these EXTREMELY SPECIAL People. I'm SOOOOO VERY Blessed!

Enjoy your day and Take care,
Dimi :-)

You Guessed it...and Some Thoughts...

Only 3 sleeps to go! I'm sure I'm boring everyone with our count down but It's important to me to document it.....It won't go on forever!

Shane and I have been in an exhausted state all week. We thought we didn't have much to do, but we still had sooooo very much to do.
Today was the final inspection for the new home owners, so we worked hard to clean our house and pack it up by today. The final inspection went well and we are happy about that.

So far, our beautiful Girls have been coping well with living in our empty house, having crazy parents running around cleaning and organising like headless chooks, and having a lack of food in the house (haven't done a proper grocery shop in a while because we've been so busy). The girls are coping well with the many changes they are facing, and I'm VERY proud of them.
We are all looking forward to the fun times ahead :-)

On a side note...
We woke up in the early hours of this morning to this sight...The house across the road was up in complete flames....

Thank God the house was empty and no one was hurt. It was a very scary experience to watch a house burn down, especially one so close to our house. I'm so very glad that no one was hurt, that would have been extremely terrible.

After a VERY long night of watching a home burn down and comforting scared children, it had me thinking...Life is sooooo, SOOOOO very precious and short. I believe at times we place to much value on the material things we have. These things can be gone in a blink of an eye, or like this morning, in a very scary fire!
It made me think...Yes, material things are helpful and some can be seen as even essential, but how important are they really? How much do we value them over other things? What is really important? People are important to me, my family and God are important to me. I appreciate many material things, however I hope in time material things become less and less important to me!
I'm so glad no one was hurt and I'm so glad my wonderful neighbours were not hurt.

Just wanted to share my thoughts...
Good night and Take care,
Dimi xo
