The Brunswick of Sydney...

WOOHOOOO, Guess what we found? Guess? Guess? Guess? For all those Melbournions who know I grew up in West Brunswick which is full of Greek families just like myself, well we found a mini west Brunswick in Marrickville, Sydney. Although Marrickville looks a bit rough and a bit run down, it still reminded me of the suburb I grew up in with its big Greek looking houses, all the Greek men hanging around the cafes, and all the grey haired Yiayias dressed in black walking around, and oh, oh the delicious GREEK CAFE, Yea Baby!
We went there for the delicious GREEK CAFE, YUMMO. My Greek family back in Melbourne sent me photos of Greek Easter lunch and sweets that I missed out on and ever since, I've been hanging to get some Greek food and sweets into me and my family, so the other day it was GREEK DAY for the Rech Family, OPA!
Look at the deliciousness we found, lick your lips it's delicious...
Greek biscuits galore...are you drooling yet?
Hellenic Greek Cafe, I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND TUMMY :-)
Are you drooling yet, check out the delicious Greek treats, Sooooooo Good!
Oh Yea, One of my absolute FAVOURITE Greek foods, Spanakopita and Tiropita. Yea baby...LOVE IT!
Check out what this other Greek cafe had on offer, Love it!
Scoffing my Amazingly GOOD Tiropita, so, so, so GOOOOOOOD...don't tell anyone but I ate 2 of them, Haha!
Oh and don't worry, I didn't forget the sweets...See that box below, well it's full of Greek sweets, YUMMO!
Oh and we had to take home some frozen cheese triangles, they are house made so they should be delicious.
We also decided to top off our Greek day with some Gorgeous Greek Lamb salad for dinner, Shane made it and it was DELICIOUS...I can tell he loves me especially when he buys me and makes me Greek food :-)

Oh and I have to confess, I'm eating a Greek honey biscuit as I type and it's sooooooo GOOD, MMMMM!

I Hope I've made you hungry for the best food known to mankind...Greek Food, hahaha!

Camden Horses...

The beautiful Camden horses we have the privilege to visit, pat, feed and enjoy when ever we like while we stay here.
They are beautiful to watch and we enjoy watching them interact with each other.
The Girls love to watch them, have a pat, and feed them.
The horses love to come up close to the fence and be patted and fed.
Just gorgeous :-)

Happy Mothers Day...

           Happy Mothers Day
I really Hope everyone had a Lovely Mothers day! You know I'm reminded how very special Mums are not only in their childrens life but in many others lives also. A beautiful mothers heart and the love of a mother makes this world a much better place to live in. You know it is usually a mother who will fight for her children, to protect them, to support them no matter what. A mother is the one who doesn't give up on her child. I believe a mothers love is the closest love to Gods love.
Mothers are blessed with an extra dose of Love for their children I believe, and children are better off because of a Mothers LOVE xoxox

So to all the Mothers out there, Keep doing a GREAT job LOVING your BEAUTIFUL children with the BEAUTIFUL heart God gave you. Always remember what a beautiful privilege it is to be a Mother...We get to walk with our children through this life, teaching them, encouraging them, being their biggest fan, correcting them and raising them up to be wonderful people who will one day hopefully take what we have taught them and pass it onto their children...our input, our influence can effect many generations to come, how AWESOME is that!
My ultimate goal is to raise beautiful godly children that have a godly character and who see people through the eyes of God and with the heart of God...I'm raising girls that know that the health of their heart and their character is most important, and that LOVE, Gods LOVE, and LOVING people, is the most important thing of all. We were created because of LOVE, for LOVE, and to LOVE...It's all about LOVE xo

Sorry for the rant, I do that sometimes ;-)
Hope you had a wonderful day xo

Love Dimi xoxoxox

Just where He needs me...

...my Lord has placed me.
The other week at church when Shane was sharing our journey with a lovely lady from House of Praise church, the lyrics to part of this hymn came to her mind. I looked up the lyrics, and they truly spoke to us and touched our hearts, so I wanted to share them on here...Thank You for sharing this with us Joan xo

What can I say to cheer a world of sorrow?
How bring back hope where men have sorely failed?
Just where I am I'll speak the word of comfort,
Tell how for me Christ's sacrifice availed.

Just where he needs me, my Lord has placed me,
Just where he needs me, there would I be!
And since he found me, by love he's bound me
To serve him joyfully.

What can I do to ease life's heavy burdens?
What can I do to help mankind in need?
Just where I am I'll share my neighbor's hardship,
Lighten his load, and prove a friend indeed.

What can I do to justify my living?
What can I be to make this life worthwhile?
I'll be a voice to call men to the Saviour,
Just where I am, and win my Father's smile.

From The Salvation Army songbook, by a woman named Miriam M. Richards...

YAY, We Bought a...

.....Washing Machine :-)
It might sound a little strange, however, I'm so excited because I now have a washing machine, WooHoooo!
Check it out...Isn't it beautiful, Hahaha!
This little portable, electric washing machine will save us hundreds and hundreds of dollars. We drove about 40 minutes to buy this second hand washing machine, it cost us $140. I've estimated that we have spent more than $250 on clothes washing in the caravan park washing machines in just under 4 1/2 months of travelling ( that includes some hand washing, but doesn't include when we have needed to use a dryer ), WOWSA, what a huge waste of money. I could have bought 2 washing machines by now. I finally talked Shane into buying a washing machine about a month or so ago, and we finally found this one 40 minutes from Camden.
I estimate that we will save around $500 per year on clothes washing...Yahooo, what a huge saving!
Look, isn't it pretty..Hahaha...
The beauty of this washing machine other than saving us money, being compact and more portable, is I can collect the rinse cycle water and use it for the next load of washing.
 Look at this baby spin...AWESOME!
So far our new to us washing machine is doing a pretty good job washing our clothes, and I would recommend it to long term travellers. This is an electric machine, so you can only use it when you have power. If you are free camping and use a generator you can still use this washing machine, or if you free camp and don't have power save your washing for when you have power in a caravan park and go nuts and have a washing day!
Off to do some more washing now :-)

No matter what you are doing, I Hope Everyone is having a LOVELY day xo
Take Care,
Dimi xo
