More FUN in the sun and Christmas day FUN...

The beautiful early Christmas morning sky greeted me as I prepared for the day while my gorgeous family snoozed :-)

I wonder what hides behind there?

Firstly we have a little tradition in our family and on Christmas eve wherever we are the girls happily remind us it's a night to check out Christmas lights in the area (we sometimes do this Christmas night too).
So after the Christmas eve church service (more about that in a later post) that we went to in Townsville and that was AMAZING, we went for a long drive checking out Christmas lights in Townsville, like always we all enjoyed it!

We have a bit of FUN being creative with our family photos..we think were funny, Hahaha!

Christmas morning we unwrapped presents very slowly, we rather take our time, no need to rush the fun stuff of unwrapping gifts. Later we prepared our desserts and lunch and another tradition a cake specifically to sing happy birthday to Jesus (we all know it's not His birthday on the actual day, however, this is the day we celebrate Him and we do so with decorations, a song and a delicious cake).

Yet another tradition we film ourselves thanking God for specific things over the last year, just saying what we are grateful for. This is so special for us, it is wonderful to look back on the things we have been grateful for in the past years.

We then had some yummy lunch together and soaked up the sun in the lagoon pool and water park and enjoyed all the facilities on offer, lots of FUN and GAMES and RELAXING was had and lots of eating yummy foods. Check out our desserts...and our Christmas eve and day FUN...

The Girls got BIKES, they were so happy. One of their bikes got stolen in Sydney and the other was broken beyond repair and was ditched in Sydney, so they've had 6 months without bikes and haven't stopped wanting one since, so we decided we'd buy them some for Christmas, they were both very thankful!

Fun and Games in the Townsville Sun...

YUM Christmas Lunch!

Lots of Love, Fun, Giggles, Laughter was had by us all. The girls prayed we'd have one of the best Christmases we've ever had, and we 100% did. Thank YOU GOD for one of the best Christmases we've ever had, it was full of FUN, LOVE, LAUGHS and RELAXATION...We all had a blessed time :-)

Our Holiday FUN, Our Chritmas FUN...

Holiday FUN...Christmas FUN...

 So I'm going back a little and sharing what we did over Christmas...

We drove from Cloncurry to Townsville. It is our second time at Townsville on this journey. The last time we were at Townsville was in August 2016. The drive is meant to take about 8 1/2 hours, however it took us about 10 hours of driving, wowsa! On the way to Townsville we stayed at the Reid river rest area, it was only 45 minutes from Townsville, we arrived there at about 8pm and stayed the night so that we would have a full day the next day at the caravan park. The rest stop was a really good and spacious stop, or it would have been if the toilets were working (thank God for our trusty portable toilet ;-)) and it wasn't so scary because we arrived after dark.

We finally arrived to Townsville the next morning (23rd December) and had a great start to our Christmas FUN. We set up our Christmas lights, tree and presents ready for Christmas day :-)

Great spacious site directly across from the water park, lagoon pool, playground, jumping pillow, mini golf and other fun and games...winner, winner!

Woodlands holiday park is a big 4 park, so it had all the extra great fun and facilities for the girls and us to enjoy over Christmas and to celebrate the girls graduating from grade 4 and grade 6 (more of that in a later post). We also went to a big 4 last Christmas and may do it again next Christmas, so we can enjoy the extra fun facilities for an extra special time over Christmas.

The fantastic new lagoon pool, water slides, water park was a huge hit with us all. It was a very relaxing, fun time we had here and that is exactly what we wanted. we desperately wanted to see the sand and the ocean again, walk along it and enjoy it and we wanted to relax and swim and that is what we did :-D

The adorable 2, LOVE THEM xoxo They both had a FUN time both at this big 4 and at Townsville, they both made numerous friends and spent hours hanging out with all their friends they made, fun in the pool, riding the go carts, on the jumping pillow and everything else they did, they loved it :-)

Yep, the adults enjoyed the water park also ;-)

New Years Eve Celebrations...

We had a very different and enjoyable new years eve at a rodeo in Mount Isa. Mount Isa is a mining town, and the closest town to Cloncurry, it's about a 1 1/2 hour drive from Cloncurry. We visit Mount Isa around once a month or so for some supplies and a day out.
On new years eve we made our way there to the NYE Rodeo, YEEHAAA!

We have never been to a rodeo and have been wanting to go since travelling Australia and when the opportunity came up, we decided to go. We had no idea what to expect! 
Well it was a fun night with a great atmosphere, full on country music all night long, food, a band, fire works, kiss and flexing camera, haha and of course the rodeo included horse and bull bucking, horse and bull riding, roping, barrel racing and more.

It was a very HOT night, but it was enjoyable and a good experience for us all. We got home very late, driving carefully on the dark, country, outback roads. Once home we all said what a great and different new years eve we had and then we all flaked it. We slept in the next morning and then enjoyed a big pancake, ice cream, fruit with lashings of maple syrup brunch. 
What a GREAT end to 2016 and a GREAT start to 2017, WAHOOO!

We've had one of the BEST years of our lives, many UPS a few difficult times and through it all our faith has remained and grown stronger, we've grown stronger individually and we've grown closer and stronger as a family. Life is truly wonderful, we just embrace it all and keep going, keeping growing, keep living the life we want to live together, it is so WONDERFUL..2016 has been an AMAZING journey for us and we THANK all our loved ones, those who get us and what we are doing, those that love and support us and follow our journey, we THANK YOU and pray that 2017 is a WONDERFUL year full of Happiness, Love, and all you want it to be...Remember life is good, grab a hold of it and LIVE IT...LOVE your loved ones deeply, Love God wholeheartedly and live life FULLY.
