Mt Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo 2017...

So a few weekends ago (11th-13th August) we went to the Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo, this rodeo attracts more than 20000 people and is the largest annual rodeo event in the southern hemisphere, WOOHOOOOO, it was HUGE and a lot of rodeo FUN was had, we loved it...I would so go again, I'm thinking about going next year for the 60th year...it really was a great experience...YEEHAAW!
Check out the Cowgirl and Cowboy...

Our Cowgirls enjoying the show...
The Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo is part of the Australian Outback, where the Australian outback meets the grit of a mining town, east meets west and man meets beast, Hahaha! The rodeo was pretty much non-stop rodeo action with bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback bronc, rope & tie, steer wresting, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping.
The rodeo was also full of food vans, rides galore (pretty much every ride that was at the Cloncurry show was at the rodeo), market stalls selling a whole lot of cowboy gear, awesome country music bands...Look there was sooo much there, if your going to go to a rodeo then I reckon the Mt Isa Rotary Rodeo would be one of the BEST ones to go to...Might see you there next time, you never know 😉

My HOT Cowboy!
Me and My Cowgirls...
We had such a GREAT night at the Mt Isa Rodeo.
All the animals were fine and well looked after, can't say that for the humans many were beaten and copped a broken bone or two, however, they know what they are getting themselves into.

The rodeo was a whole lot of outback FUN, YEEHAAWWW...I hope to go again some day, I'm sure we will!
Hope all is well in your world xo

Happy 11th Birthday Sweet Heart...

On the 19th August we celebrated this sweet girls 11th birthday. I can't believe and neither can she that she has actually turned 11 already!
HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY SWEET PRINCESS xoxox
Shane making Serena's birthday breakfast...
Serena is a kind hearted, fun and funny young lady. What stands out about Serena is her great and fun sense of humour, the love and kindness she shows us and others and her creative side..she is very theatrical, amazing at drawing, writing stories and poems just to name a few things. Serena is a talented young lady and we are proud of the beautiful, sweet girl she is.
Happy Birthday Beautiful Princess xoxox

The other day I was sick very sick with the flu...Serena said to me, "Mum if your too sick for us to celebrate my birthday on the day, we'll just open my presents on the day and celebrate my birthday when your better."
That's Serena's heart, she has been counting down her birthday and looking forward to it, yet, she has a self sacrificing heart that thinks of others and how they feel...Simply BEAUTIFUL xo
Making Fairy Bread...

Sweet, Beautiful Sisters...
We did celebrate Serena's birthday on the day (no way was I going to delay celebrations). Serena was queen for the day, chose a hot breakfast for her birthday breakfast, opened her gifts, Serena chose a restaurant in mt Isa for lunch and we then spent the rest of the day by the pool at Mt. Isa. We came home in the evening and sang happy birthday with her melted ice cream cake (the freezer at the camp kitchen wasn't working well and we didn't realise until we took out her cake on her birthday night...doesn't matter, we made her a delicious chocolate brownie cake the next day). Serena enjoyed her gifts and then we all went to bed late, sleeping peacefully after a great day celebrating Serena xo
Ready for a SPLASH!

I LOVE my Family xoxoxo

Another Health Update...

We've been to Mt. Isa hospital again, and I've had my test results back from the CT scan I had on my adrenal glands. The doctors found a very small tumor on my adrenal gland, only about 0.6mm in size. The medical team who consult with the surgeons and medical team in Townsville did not believe this alone was the cause of my symptoms, so they sent me for urgent CT scans on both my brain and lungs, they thought they'd find more, larger tumors on one or the other scan, THANK GOD they did NOT find anymore tumors. After further tests, blood and urine, they now believe there isn't enough evidence to show that this small tumor is causing the symptoms I have.
So now we are kind of back to square one...
There has been some confusion with one of my tests, one would prove that this tumor could be the cause of all my symptoms, but if the test results are wrong, then it proves nothing, ARGHHHH!
Most of the results of most of the tests show nothing negative and no real reason for what is happening to my body. Some of my symptoms a just crazy. I have the ones I've listed before, like anxiety, lack of appetite, at times racing heart, breathlessness, many other weird symptoms and at the same time during all these symptoms, about 1 month or so ago I had to have a golf ball sized boil removed from my body (a big OUCH) and more recently my right foot ballooned, it just swelled and caused quite a bit of pain for no reason I know of and I could barely walk on it for days, ARGGHHHH!
Anyway, there is nothing much I can do about it.
No one really knows why all this is happening to my body. It was suggested that maybe it could be environmental since there are alot of minerals in the ground, I wouldn't drink the water here again and Mt. Isa has a constant cloud of sulphate in the sky, so who knows, maybe the best treatment for me would be to leave the area, haha, you never know!
For now I'm on a few different medications to help with a few of my symptoms, I have pretty normal days for days in a row and then I can have pretty yucky days...we just take it as it comes for now. I do hate the not knowing what is causing all this, but it's out of my hands, worrying about it won't change a thing, so we'll just see what happens in the future.
We've been told to have some of my tests repeated in about 6 months to see if anything has changed, so we will make sure to do that!

Other than that, we are mostly well. We've all had a bit of gastro and the flu recently and are all mostly over that. We are still enjoying beautiful, clear blue skies here in Cloncurry. The weather is mostly in the late 20's to early 30's at the moment. We usually have clear, cool, starry nights, it's just beautiful! That's why it gets so busy up North in the winter, North Queenslands winter has to be some of the best weather we've experienced, it's BEAUTIFUL!

Hope all is well with everyone xo
Take care,
Love Dimi
