Back On The Road Again..Hello Camooweal...

Here We Go...

We're on the road again...from Camoweal to Banka Banka to Mataranka!

First Stop...Camooweal, Queensland...
On Thursday the 5th of October we arrived at a free camp by a billabong in Camooweal and stayed the night. It was a hot night, however, we finally purchased our generator just before we left Cloncurry, so we were happy and comfortable.

Well Goodbye Cloncurry...

 On Thursday 5th of October we said Goodbye to our outback Cloncurry home...

The Driver is Good and Ready...

Well the time has come to say a HUGE GOODBYE to Cloncurry, North West Queensland. It kind of feels like we are saying goodbye to our home once again. As most would know we've lived here in Cloncurry for nearly 13 months, so it sure feels like home and is in many ways a little hard to say goodbye, however, it is also exciting to see what the future holds for our family, on our Fun, Crazy, Adventurous Faith Led Journey.

So Goodbye Cloncurry, we leave a little sad in saying goodbye to all you have to offer and to the local community, however, we feel happy and excited at what the future holds...hopefully it's all good, however, we have learnt to take it as it comes, cross every bridge when we get to it, make the most of every moment, everyday, go with the flow, embrace the good times, and work together through the difficult ones...Life is what you make it...Make it GOOD!

The BIG C150...

The week of the 15th - 23rd of September Cloncurry had a great week of events organised for it's 150th year celebration and we attended as many as possible. We had a great week celebrating with the local (and thousands of past residents returned to Cloncurry for the week of celebrations) Cloncurry community!

The week started with a street parade and a street dance party and concert featuring Troy Cassar Daley. There was a family picnic and sports day on Sunday after a combined church service on Sunday. Sunday evening we watched an aussie movie on a large cinema screen under the beautiful Cloncurry sky. There was also a market day/night and talent show, and Cloncurry horse races and a mini rodeo night, WAHOOOOO, lots of FUN was had by all of us.
Plenty more was on for the week of celebrations, including a ball, night museum, trivia night and much more community FUN...it really was a whole heap of FUN with the local Cloncurry community. 
I really enjoy these types of community, family events...

By the end of the day, the girls tops were full of winning ribbons...They both had a ball!

Seriously, we had such a great time celebrating C150, we laughed, and laughed, and laughed. It was fantastic to be part of the 150th year living in Cloncurry and it was Fantastic celebrating with the locals.
