Goodbye Portland...

So this is what we were doing earlier this evening. We decided to pack up our rumpus room (aka our annexe, haha) instead of leaving it until the morning. We feel a bit sad to leave Portland and we would have loved an extra couple of weeks here, however we are booked in elsewhere so for now we have to say goodbye. Who knows, we may be back again at some stage. We have met sooooo many people here and we feel at home. Portland also has a GREAT church (South West Community Church), so it is a bit hard to say goodbye.

Here are some more pics from our stay at Portland.....

South West Community Church...

Yesterday we were EXTREMELY blessed to be part of the congregation at South West Community Church in Portland, Victoria.
As always, my favourite part of church is the worship time, and the worship time at South West Community Church was simply BEAUTIFUL. We were in God's BEAUTIFUL presence, it was a blessing to be part of the congregation for this worship time and also for the fantastic message the Minister shared.
This humble minister shared a message about everyone having a place within the body of Christ. He shared how it is not just the ministers job alone to take care of each and every area of church life, instead we all have a part to play. We all have gifts and we all need to utilise the gifts we have...AWESOME, I Love It!
The minister also caught up with Shane today for a chat. He encouraged Shane and he even confirmed some things for us. We both feel so VERY blessed by the Church service on Sunday, and also by the minister of the Church who took time out of his Monday to meet with someone who isn't even part of his congregation, who does that! How AWESOME...What a BLESSING!

Thank You VERY much to South West Community Church for a wonderful service. Thank You Very Much to Pastor Shane for blessing us with your time, your kindness, encouragement, wisdom and Thank You for blessing us with more resources, we appreciate it, Thank You.
Thank You God for sending GREAT people our way xoxox

It was a great day on Sunday and if your ever visiting Portland, Victoria you should visit South West Community Church.
Goodnight and Take care,
Dimi and Shane xoxo

The Travelling Bible...In Portland...

The Travelling Bible is in Portland....The Port is in the background...

We have been praying for the people of Portland, Bridgewater and the surrounding areas. Praying for God to use us here and praying for Gods will to be done here.
As we walked along Cape Bridgewater to the seal colony lookout, we prayed and sang our hearts out to God (I feel to pray and worship at a significant place that is well know in each area we visit). We claim Portland and the surrounding areas for God and we cover it in prayer, and through worship we bring Gods beautiful presence into Portland and the surrounding areas.

We have had some opportunity to minister here, and we pray for much more opportunity to minister to people. God has put a few people on our hearts to minister/speak with/share a word with, and we continue to pray He uses us even more to do more here! Its never enough for us. We want God to SHINE in and through us, so people a touched, changed and fall in love with GOD!

If you pray, please pray God will lead us to do EXACTLY what He wants us to do and to say EXACTLY what He wants us to say and to go wherever He wants us to go...Thanks in advance xoxox

Take Care,
Dimi and Shane xoxox

Cape Nelson Lighthouse Tour...and Learning while we Travel...

What a Lovely day it was today...Loving Life, Loving my GORGEOUS Family, Loving GOD...

Today we started the day with the Rech Family classroom in our annex. We had so much fun and got a heap of work done. The girls did a huge project with heaps of information added, illustrations and cut outs about Portland and the surrounding areas.
We do both formal study/learning time and informal study/learning time. A combination of learning on the go, at the beach, on a cliff, on a picnic rug, in the car, the museum, the markets, grocery shopping, at the park, on excursions, etc... We also learn sitting down at a table and going through all our different curriculum, from text books and online.
We plan to cover many subjects including Maths, History, Christian Studies, English, Reading, Writing, Photography, Physical education, Social skills and more.
I think the girls really get the best of both worlds this way. The Girls are LOVING our version of schooling so VERY much, they are really thriving and I believe they will continue to thrive. I'm really in my aliment teaching our girls, we are LOVING it.

After our study/learning time, we went on a excursion to the Cape Nelson Lighthouse. We went on a 1 1/2 hour tour which was both fun and informative for all of us...

Check out our STUNNING Photos of Cape Nelson.....
