Exploring Gorgeous Palm Cove...

I'm loving the Cairns Region, not so much the Cairns city area, but the surrounding areas of Cairns are BEAUTIFUL and we are all loving these areas..I'm pretty sure we will visit these areas again in the future for a holiday, even just for the BEAUTIFUL beaches.

Palm Cove Beach...

Palm Cove is full of Beautiful Palms, warm, clear beach water that is patrolled and it is a lovely walk along the beach, and along the small cluster of shops directly across a small road from the beach.

Watch out for crocs and stingers (thankfully it wasn't stinger season when we were there)...

Beautiful Palms...

Palm Cove beach is patrolled and it is BEAUTIFUL. Along the beach is a strip of hip cafes and restaurants, a cute little cluster of shops. Palm cove is similar to so many beach side areas we've visited and loved. I really like this place and would come again for a walk, some ice cream and a swim at the Beach.

Exploring Cairns...

We've had a great time exploring Cairns and its many wonderful surrounding areas. I'm loving the winter climate here, loving it...yes we've had some wet and muggy days, but if not all, most days turn out to be glorious SUNSHINE!
Spending days by the beach is ALWAYS a happy place for me, and so a little muggy weather can't ruin that! We've enjoyed the beach here and have even been swimming...SHOCK HORROR...it isn't stinger season thank God, and yes there are warning signs that crocodiles could be lurking, however, we have spent days swimming at the beach in between the flags of course and it's been wonderful. The beach water is so warm, near the shore line its almost like a very warm/hot bath, the water is clear, the sand is so fine and fluffy, oh it's sooooooo VERY Beautiful!

There was a recent crocodile sighting at Lake Placid, AARRGGGHHHHH!

Lake Placid...

Lake Placid is a great spot just outside the caravan park for a walk, it even has a restaurant overlooking the lake...it's a beautiful spot!

Lake Placid Tourist Park has a cool little cafe...

I Love all the tropical, lush gardens all over Cairns and the Surrounding areas, Love them, just BEAUTIFUL...

Warning: Crocodiles everywhere in Cairns ( ok, ok, this was at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures, Haha...however, there are many rivers and waterways that are full of crocodiles, so be careful)...

So we continue to enjoy the beautiful Sunshine, Beach, Pool, Lush gardens and everything Cairns has to offer for a few more days, it will be hard to say goodbye to this place...especially the surrounding areas of Cairns, it really is full of beautiful places like Port Douglas and Palm Cove (more on those in future posts).

Generations Church...

On Sunday We went to Generations Church, in Kewarra Beach! 
We were blessed with an encouraging message about sharing God with people, and the worship time was just beautiful.
The people at Generations church were welcoming and friendly, we enjoyed being part of this Church congregation on Sunday.
If you are ever in the area you should go and check out Generations Church! 

We were also extra blessed because a couple of our friends from our home church (in Sunbury) moved to Cairns last year and we were able to catch up with them at their Church, it was so good to see their familiar faces.

It was also great to catch up with Heather and Craig for some lunch at their home after Church...Thank you Sooo much guys we appreciate your company xo

It was also great that Shane could catch up with the Pastor from Generations Church. It's a great way to touch base and make contacts all over Australia. 
It's always encouraging and a blessing for us when we can do that!

Celebrating a Princesses double digit birthday xoxox
I won't say I can't believe Serena is 10 already and that the years have gone so very quickly, in fact, it actually feels as though Serena has been 10 years old for years. Serena's tender heart, sense of humour, intelligence, kindness and maturity makes her seem older than what she actually is. 
I LOVE this girl, I LOVE having long, in depth conversations with this clever, witty, sweet girl..Serena is a sweet hearted girl and I love how much compassion she has in her heart, I think it's a gift from God!
I know, I know, I'm bragging about one of My Gorgeous Daughters again, however, It's a Mothers right I reckon and I'm reflecting on the person she is as we celebrate her 10th year of her life :-D

So on the 19th we celebrated our Serena's 10th birthday, and really Serena is a delight to spoil with Fun times, Love, Pressies and Butter Chicken (Serena's new favourite food since our Sydney stay ;-) ), Serena is so appreciative and loving, we just loved making the day special for her xo

After a yummy bacon and egg breakfast for Serena's birthday, Serena chose to go to Hartleys Crocodile Adventures and Jump Mania for a day and night of fall on FUN. Serena was so exhausted from her Birthday FUN (and Shane had a pretty bad injury, he is okay though), we came home for yummy cake, presents to open and decided to go out for her choice of dinner the next night...her choice of course is her new favourite food since being at Sydney and eating the delicious Butter Chicken the lovely ladies from House of Praise Church made...So we went to an Indian Restaurant for some delicious Indian food, YUMMO!
So a FUN celebration was had by all of us...Serena sure is a Princess to celebrate xo
