God Answers Prayers...

We know that no problem is too big for God, but do you know no problem is to small for God?
God will provide a strategy for every problem, we just have to ask Him

We have a gorgeous little doggy named Zoey and our girls absolutely ADORE her, as does Shane and I. Zoey has a sweet temperament and she is loving, gentle, fun and playful and loves the girls in particular. We've had Zoey for over 2 years now and as you can imagine she is very special to us.
When first thinking about travelling around Australia on this journey of ours, we first thought that we would definitely be taking Zoey with us. We thought there was no way we could possibly ask the girls to part with Zoey ( they were already giving up so much ) but once we started to look into travelling with a doggy, we quickly realised it would be too difficult for both us and Zoey to drag her around Australia.

We found out that Zoey wouldn't be allowed in a huge amount of national parks. Zoey wasn't allowed in many caravan parks and the caravan parks that allowed pets wouldn't allow us to leave Zoey in our caravan unattended. That would be a problem when we went to church on Sunday's, or a theme park, a zoo,or anywhere really. We realised we couldn't just leave her in the car or tie her up somewhere, we just couldn't do that to her, it just wouldn't be fair on her.
We eventually told the girls we would have to leave Zoey behind and try to find a temporary home for her. That was a difficult conversation to have but we all eventually accepted that was the best solution.

We soon found out that we couldn't leave her with family, so we were out of ideas. We felt as though it was WAYYYYY too much to ask anyone to temporarily home Zoey for 12 to 14 months, it was too BIG of an ask.

We decided we would pray hard about it and so we did. We prayed to God and asked Him if He would find someone who would like to temporarily home Zoey until we got back from our journey. It had to be someone who would offer to have her and would be happy to have her without us asking or even hinting!

Within 2 or 3 days of praying, Shane was at the girls school talking with one of the mums whose son is in Serena's class, they were just talking about our trip ( Shane and this Special Lady, Deb often had a chat at school drop off ) and then this Special Lady randomly asked Shane " what are you going to do with the dog?" Shane said, " I don't know, we may have to consider giving her away."
Do you know what happened next??
This Special Lady offered and actually decided on the spot that she would temporarily home Zoey for us......WHAT!!!

Shane came home and told me about the conversation he had with Deb. We were book shocked. We asked her to think about it because it was still very difficult for us to accept her offer. We love giving but find it hard to receive and I guess that's probably the case with a lot of people...Its easier to give than receive especially when its such a HUGE thing like this!

I cried ( as I do ).....God answered our prayers! Of course GOD answered our prayers!

You know I've never officially met this Special Lady until the day that she had Zoey at her house. This special Lady asked to have Zoey at her house that very weekend just to see how Zoey would go with her dogs and without us.

This Extremely SPECIAL Lady sent from God has BLESSED us TREMENDOUSLY and she barely knows me. Who does that for someone? Someone special and sent from God does that!
God planned it, God answered our small prayer. God heard our hearts and our children's hearts and he came up with a strategy for us. God is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

God ANSWERS prayers, no matter how big or small they may be.

THANK YOU God and THANK YOU Deb for doing such a selfless thing for us, you are a true blessing to us xo

Thanks and Take Care,

A Post from my Heart...

As a little child I knew God answered prayers. I recall as a young child praying to God about very specific things and people and God would answer me by giving me exactly what I prayed for. I had the most beautiful, pure FAITH of a child...

I feel for the most part, I still carry this FAITH with me. Yes, I get scared at times of what the future may and may not bring. I worry and I have fear at times and sometimes it overwhelms me BUT...BUT these fears, these worries, DO NOT and WILL NOT hold me back in doing what I was made to do. They WILL NOT hold me back from what God has planned for my life!

I believe having REAL FAITH involves facing some form of fear! For instance, if you were thinking of leaving your job to pursue a dream, or if you decided to buy a business, or even get married, all of these decisions involve some form of you having to face some fear. If it doesn't involve you facing fear, then how significant is it really to you??
You know the fear that says, " What if you buy a business and its a complete flop? " and " What if you marry that man/women and its a disastrous marriage? " and " What if you leave your job, sell your house to follow your God given dreams and it ends up an epic fail? "

You know what I say? I say, Look at fear in its eye and say to it, " I may be scared, I may be worried BUT Fear, you WILL NOT hold me back...You can only hold me back if I allow you to and Guess What? I won't allow you to...FEAR, YOU HAVE NO HOLD ON ME!!! "

What if you buy a business and its a complete success! What if you marry the one you love and together you create a loving marriage! What if you follow your God given dreams, and the journey you embark on is Sooooooo much better than you could have ever imagined!

You see, I believe we should acknowledge our fear and say, " Yep, I'm scared of doing this, I'm scared of taking this LEAP of Faith, but that's okay because I"m going to do it anyway.......and then JUMP!! JUMP!! JUMP!!

See that's what I believe FAITH is, its being scared but doing it anyway because you choose to trust God.
Faith to me is...even though I'm afraid to follow my dreams, even though I'm afraid of what is to come, I'm going to give it a go anyway.

If your not scared, if there was no risk involved, does it really mean that much to you?
If you didn't have any fear associated with your decision, and again if there was absolutely no risk, then there would be no reason at all to have FAITH.

Fear isn't necessarily all bad all the time. Some fear truly is bad, if it grips you, controls you and holds you back, then that fear is bad and its a life sucker.
There is, I believe a good/healthy fear...A healthy fear will stop a child from touching a flame, that type of fear prevents the child from getting burnt. That's a good/healthy fear!

So when you face a significant decision ( especially one that is GOD led ), and when you feel fear start to take a hold of you, acknowledge the fear and say, " I may be afraid but I'M DOING IT ANYWAY! "

This comes to mind...Gods got you and me in the palm of HIS BEAUTIFUL hands!

* As a side note...I never intended to type this post, I actually had another post planned and as I was typing I felt it on my heart to type the above post...So if you've read this, Thank You for reading it and I hope it speaks to your heart somehow!

Thank You

The other morning Myself, Shane and Our girls were out the front of our house, we were specifically sitting in the caravan having our morning cuppa and having a chat about our journey. As we chatted, one of our friends/neighbours ( they live a few blocks away ) drove over to have a look at our caravan, have a chat and encourage us.
Just as they were about to leave, another one of our Beautiful neighbours that live behind our home, came over just to ask Shane how to spell my name because she is sad to see us go, and she wants to write us a card.
Just as this lovely lady was leaving, our neighbour from across the road came over and had a look in our caravan, have a chat and also encouraged us.
Later that day, another VERY special lady came over, had a chat with me and had a look through our caravan and she also encouraged us ( More about this special lady in a later post ).
We have been invited to so many BBQs/Dinners because it seems people just want to support and bless us.......We feel so BLESSED by our community!
On so many other occasions, we have found our community to be our BIGGEST support :-)

I was Soooooooooo overwhelmed with our Neighbours/Community support and encouragement, I just bawled my eyes out ( Yep, I'm an emotional person ).
It hit me hard that we are leaving this special community behind.
Myself and Shane LOVE this community, we have a HUGE place in our hearts for Sunbury and the people of Sunbury. We LOVE being part of these peoples lives, even if its on a small scale.
I will miss these people! Our neighbours, the girls school friends, the whole school community, our local shop assistants, we will miss them all.
I didn't realise how much they meant to me.

Thank You to EVERYONE who makes Sunbury such a warm community to live in.
Thank you to EVERYONE who is supporting " Our Faith Led Journey," You are HUGELY APPRECIATED...All your support means the ABSOLUTE world to us, THANK YOU Sooooooo Much :-)

Take care and God Bless you ALL,

More Pack, Pack, Packing...

Today Shane and I spent ALL day packing and sorting, packing and sorting...It has been an exhausting day of just packing, sorting, organising to store and to take, or to give away, and to throw away!

Shane borrowed his bosses small truck last night, ( Thanks HEAPS Ben ) and he packed it full of our belongings that are getting stored at his dads house ( Thanks HEAPS Greg ).

The girls rooms got cleaned out and mainly clothes remain, their beds and only a few other things remain. The caravan has had and continues to have ( if you know me, you know I'm a bit of a clean freak ) a good cleaning, and we've already started to pack " our new home on wheels " with all the items the girls want to bring along with us, we just gave them some small boxes and they carefully selected some special items/toys to put in the boxes to bring along!

We are sooooooo exhausted and a bit anxious, we have soooo much to do and so little time to do it.
As far as time goes, plan A has us leaving on our house settlement date which is Monday, 14th December and plan B has us leaving about 1 week or so after that which is around 21st or 22nd or 23rd of December!
Hopefully plan A works out ( I'm always hopeful ), but we don't have a vehicle yet and we still have so many things to do, so we may have to go with plan B. We will see what happens!

I'm reminded to...TRUST God, I'm reminded of how much we LOVE God and how much I LOVE these CHAMPIONS and that we are doing this for GOD and for His plans and purpose for our lives and for each other and the LOVE we have for each other.
For the Love of God, For the LOVE of Family, For the LOVE of People...

Love these People Sooooo Much...

My Absolute Favourite verse...
I'm also reminded of how VERY much God LOVES us and wants us to TRUST HIM :-)
